Strike a pose!
I'm so happy to have Taylor in our family. She brings a lot of laughter and spunk into our home.

Schnepf Farms

We went to Schnepf Farms the other night and had a fun time with the kiddos.

Taylor's diggin for gold.

It was so great we got to sit in the front of the train.

Cheese! My favorite part were the churros and homemade ice-cream, yum! I think the kids favorite part was playing in the haystacks. They threw hay on each other for about half an hour. Who knew I just needed to buy a couple of bales!

It was perfect weather and a beautiful sunset.

Grandma B.J.'s 77th Birthday

Here's my beautiful Grandma at her birthday party we had for her at Kris's house. Many of my "fondest" memories as a child are at get -togethers at my grandma's house with all of the cousins. She has been such a great grandma. She's always tried to keep all of our cousins close to each other. All of the older cousins (which I was one) were lucky enough to go on a senior trip with her. She flew us to Utah and we stayed with her for a week. She took me and my cousin Grant since we both graduated the same year. After having fun with her for a week in her small town , she took us to Vegas and we stayed at the MGM Grand. I know she would continue this tradition with all the younger cousins if she could, but I'm glad I was born early :).

She's a "Martha Stewart." She's always been great at decorating, house keeping, and cooking. She's a true women of the older generation of women staying home and taking care of their husbands and families. She still gets on my case about not ironing for Brett! sorry Brett :).

Taylor was so grumpy that day, and I couldn't resist taking these pictures for her to remember someday.

Here she is trying not to look at me.

Here's the cutest best buds.

Here's my best bud :).

Emmy was cracking us up with her finger up her nose.

Love you Grandma!

Tori and her first ice-cream sundae...

So we were at Superstition Mall the other day and its a tradition to get pretzel bites from "Wetzel Pretzel." Tori just loves them. I was feeling like something sweet and we were passing Dariqueen, so I asked her if she'd rather have an ice-cream sundae and she said sure. She asked me what it was and I showed her the picture because she had never had one. So as she was devouring it she starts talking to herself and says, "pretzels or chocolate sundae, pretzels or chocolate sundae. Who would ever pick pretzels, right mom? Oh, this is like heaven, right?" I love her.

Halloween Party 2009...

I love, love Halloween and decided last minute to have a small Halloween party.

My favortie dessert were the brain cupcakes that Tori helped me with. She added the blood on them all by herself :).

Here's our back patio and it turned out really good. I only wanted more black lights, but Leslie assured me it would be more appetizing without them.

Here's the Three Blind Mice.

Flapper gal and date.

My dad was so awesome he barbequed all the food for me and let me spray red in his hair and put make-up all over his face. :0)

Here's Cameron and Makenna being each other.

Eighty's couple with Dave's hott shorts.

The "Milk Man" and his bi-product.

Dog Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth. We were laughing the whole night about Leslie's "lady's".

Me trying to make a face that looked "old." I'm such a nerd!

I was at Goodwill trying to come up with a costume and a light bulb went off when I saw this lovely pants and coordinating jacket. When we sprayed our hair white, mine turned purple. :)

Brett and his creepiest face ever! I can't believe this is what I get to look forward too! :PPosted by Picasa

My little apple-dumplin...

So my last post I call Taylor a menace, but these pictures redeem her as my cute-little-apple dumplin. I've wanted to try out my camera and decided last minute after I dropped Tori off to take some pictures of Taylor. I've seen this old house on Ocotillo forever that I knew would be fun to take pictures in front of. So last second heading out the door I grabbed an apple. :) Poor kids legs look like they are dirty, but really she has bruises covering her shins. I bruise just like that. I remember when I was little counting bruises on both of my legs and having 30 of them. You never know with kids how they'll react to you trying to take pictures, but she was sooo cute with me.

my little menace update...

So we took out our Halloween containers to decorate, and I still haven't finished the outside entry so I pushed them up against the back of the couch. This is now Taylor's favorite spot in the house. I come down the stairs to find Taylor chillin with her pillow "bobo" and eating a dog cookie. Right before this picture Brett found her with a chair pushed up to our hutch in the kitchen and she was eating all the dog cookies. At least they are all natural! She seriously gets into everything and is constantly making messes for me. And she is so devious about it! She has this little evil laugh she does when she knows she shouldn't do something she says, HaHa, and gives me this little smirk.

She's such a funny kid. She loves being onry (spelling?) to everyone. Every morning my parents try to say hello to her or give her a kiss and she frowns at them and says, "no GiGi (grandma), or ouch!"

Her absolute favorite show is "Kailan." If she even hears the t.v. say it's going to be on next sometimes she screams in excitement or comes running from wherever she is and gets ready for her dance. She imitates the characters as they wave, hold hands, jump, and growl, and dance. It's the cutest thing ever.

A funny thing about her is she has always loved guys, so wierd. She will go up to a stranger and sit in their lap at church if it's a guy. But if any of my girlfriends even try to say hi to her she tells them how she feels, so funny. At the gym daycare they were telling me how they tried for the whole time I was gone to just get her to smile and she wouldn't. But then the maintenance guy saw us walk in and said," oh, she's the one who follows me around when I go in there and keeps saying hi to me." I hope this doesn't mean she's going to be boy crazy starting at the age of one! I looked in her mouth and she's getting her final four molars, hurray! I absolutely hate teething. My kids always turn into little monsters, hence Taylor's sweet behavior. Lately, when I talk to her or someone else is and she's irritated she puts out her fists and started shaking or hits herself on her chest like Tarzan and says , "Uuuuugh!"
I remember that once Tori was done teething she turned into a little angel. So I'm crossing my fingers it won't be too long til I get my little angel back! :)

So Halloween is coming to town...

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I always pull out the decor early. So my girlies have been dressing like witches everyday since I have the Halloween bin opened up in my kitchen.

I of course was dying to make a Halloween outfit for them, and Tori's is complete below. Taylor's is still a work in progress. :)

My latest creations...

This is my favorite dress I've ever made. I made it to for my friends baby shower and it is about the size of a 6 month old. I think it's precious.

These are fun little onsies that I added stuff to.

And the matching skirts.

Tori Story

Wow, I suck at blogging lately! I just had to write this story down before I forget. So the other day we were leaving the gym daycare and Tori stops me and points to a little boy that was just getting there. She said, "See that boy? He's not an angry, crazy, wild kind of boy, he's a nice boy like for a girl kind of boy." Okay, I thought. So the whole way to the car she expressed to me how nice and awesome this boy was. She was so passionate about it! She tells me how one time she was trying to walk somewhere but he was in the way and that she thought to herself,"he's a boy, so I'll let him go first so he doesn't try to run me over or something." But then he told her, no you go please. Then with the sappyiest voice she tells me,"Isn't that soo nice?! Oh, mom, he's so nice, he's cute, I want to marry him." Huh? And then she said it a couple of times. I smiled thinking she liked this boy because he was such a gentlemen, and I thought that was so sweet. I asked her if she even knew his name and she said no, and I thought that was pretty funny.
So then I said, "Mommy married the nicest boy in the whole world, huh?"
And she said, "No, cause he never helps you do anything at home."
Oops, I better stop thinking out loud certain times of the month!
