My new camera...

I haven't even read how to use my camera, but I've been messing around with it.

I have a feeling they are gonna love these when they are older!

This is how excited Tori was to start preschool again.

cutie!

I turned 30...

I had a really good birthday. My friend Leslie took me to Costa Vida's for lunch, and a couple of friends brought me goodies and presents. You always hear people getting surprised on their 30th birthdays so I remember thinking all day that there is no way Brett would ever do that. Especially, since the night before I told him I wanted to use my gift certificate to Brio's. Anyways, on the way there he surprised me with wrapped present and a card. This is very rare for me, so I was kind of shocked. And then to open up a nice Nikon camera I was really in shock. He gave me some money earlier in the week so I wasn't expecting a present at all. So, then we walk into Brio's and he nudged me a little and said,"Who's over there?" Me being the sweet wife that I am responded,"Don't push me." And then looked over to see a table full of friends. What the heck? He also had my favorite desserts waiting at their house for afterwards. So my boo has really stepped up his game this year :).

Thanks, Bretty poo for helping me have a fun birthday now that I'm an old fart like you!

Weekend Getaway...

I had the funnest time this past weekend with my wonderful friends. We stayed in Newport in a hotel and had way too much fun.

Why is eating out so much fun?

We practiced our photograghy and modeling skills ;0).

The weather was sooo great, but a little windy at times. Badoomp, chhh! That's my imaginary drum.

The beach water was so warm, and it only took us an hour to find a parking spot that only cost us $20.

Hotties!

I'm not loving the hat so much in that pic. Not you Leslie, me.

These girls think of the strangest things to do for fun ;0).

We stopped by "The Contempo Studio" of photography and got some glamour shots.

Words or things that will always remind me of this trip are barbeque ranch chicken salad, praire cats," that causes cancer", biking to Huntington Beach, 500 days of Summer, not going to bed til 4:oo am, City of Bones, trying to turn my friends off with a channel changer, stores closing at 7pm on a weekend night, Duece, greasy skin, eating a pint of "Golden Spoon", U-turns, hybrids saving me $56, what the correct "Emo" dress attire consists of, ugly fish faces, "gulp", smelly bathrooms at Borders, foreigners at the jacuzzi, and my favorite "I'm ovulating."(My friends can be a little too open with their bodies sometimes.)

Thanks girls for such a fun time!

My newest creations...

I've been wanting to attempt making dresses forever, and I finally decided to try. Brett's mom showed me some tricks with gathering, and now I fear I have an addiction for a while. My problem is I hate patterns because it takes too much concentration to read directions and make all the perfect cuts, I'm seriously ADD that way. So I have to make a new dress on the spot everytime, but I loved how these turned out. More to come soon...

I call this my "Martha Washington" design.

I made them these dresses before our beach trip we just went on, but this is the only picture I have of this style.

Mama's Birthday!

I really have the greatest mom! She always brightens my day, and helps me to laugh when times are stressful.
We saw the "Proposal" and it was pretty good aside from the nudity ;).Posted by Picasa

Tori's music camp

I signed up Tori for a two week summer music camp, and she loved it. Everyday has a theme, and these were my favorites. They were all based on Rock and Roll, and this one she was supposed to be ready to rock out at the sock-hop.

This one was rock star hair day.

This one was pink day. Here she is with her cute friend Olivia who also took the class with her.

My favorite one was rockstar day. The crazy thing is she sported the Michael Jackson "one glove" on the day he died, spooky;).

Tori's recital

This is her "Ya, I'm such a RockStar!" pose.

I love this picture because she has that little girl double chin, and I know it's coming soon when she'll look grown up =(.

They memorized nine songs and had cute little dances for all of them. Very impressive for only two weeks.

Tori was so excited her dad got her flower and tweenkies (Thanks Mark for the heads up!)

Dad's Birthday!

Here's my handsome dad with his cake Tori and I made. It turned out a little "Cat in the Hat" ish. It's funny because he's really 55 and I knew that, but I told Tori to grab a 5 and a 4, and she grabbed a 5 and 3. But it made him feel younger anyways!

Tori had never seen silly string so I bought her some to spray "papa."

She of course that it was the greatest invention ever.
