Taylor Turns One...WARNING: A LOT OF PICS!

Our sweet little Taylor turned one years old. She has been such a joy in my life by having chubby thighs.

Here's Tori devouring a cupcake, like usual.

She was pretty gentle with her cake. She loved licking her fingers after each poke.

Posted by PicasaIn the end she decided to wipe it all over her face.

I had a little photo shoot in honor of her turning one. Here's a shot of her and Emmy lovin each other.

Here's my cute brother, Dave.

These pictures are all out of order. We took a couple pics before church in front of our "Spooky" entry.

Poor Taylor has a little scab on her nose from tumbling down the stairs on Saturday.

My little poser.

Weekend California Trip

We just went to California for the weekend to visit Brett's family. Taylor and Tori had fun with their cousins. I only took a couple of pictures because I didn't know where Brett put my camera. Here is Taylor with two of three cousins her age. It was fun to see everyone since we haven't visited for 6 months.

Ahh, how nice, feeding your cousin. Actually, they were all trying to steal each others bottles.

Please pray for my patience...

On a long walk home this morning, as we turned on our street, I said,"Oh, look we're on our street."
Tori," Why is this our street?"
Me,"Because it's _____ ______ Dr."
Tori,"Why is this our street and not someone else's?"
Me,"Because we live on this street and other people live on other streets."
Tori,"Why?"
Me,"We have to have a street so the mailman knows where to mail things."
I point to the street sign and tell her it says _____ ________ Dr.
Tori, "What does that sign say?" And she points to a small blue sign indicating that house has an alarm.
Me,"It says they have an alarm."
Tori,"What's an alarm."
Take in mind I am getting hot from a long walk and this always adds to my irritability.
Me,"If a bad person breaks into their house a loud noise will go off."
Tori,"Why a loud noise?"
Me,"Because then it scares them away."
Tori,"Why would it scare them away."
Me,"Because then they would think a police man is coming."
Tori,"Uuuugh, I don't understand, whay would a bad person do that?!!!"
Me,"Uuugh, don't worry about it okay!"
Tori,"Why would a bad person go into someone's house they don't even know?!!"
Walking in the house now.
Me,"Tori stop yelling!! They do it because they are bad and they want to steal things."
Tori,"I don't understand! What do they steal!"
Me, "Things like T.V.'s, and money, and jewelry."
Tori, "OH, why are people bad?"
Me, "They just are, okay!"
Thank heavens the T.V. was on and she got distracted because I don't think I could handle one more question! This seriously happens all day long and I need to have more patience, but it is not a natural quality of mine. Keep me in your prayers, for Tori's sake!

Bad Dreams

So every night with Tori we pray that she will have "sweet dreams." She woke up this morning and said I guess Heavenly Father didn't hear me because I had bad dreams last night.
I said," No, he hears you."
She says," Then maybe he was just away for a while with Mary or Jesus or something."
Me, speechless. How do you answer that?

It's not fun when your best friends move....

Keia and Tori
This is my cute, sweet, and hilarious clean freak friend Kendra. She just moved to Sand Diego on Wednesday and I'm so sad about it. We met 3 years ago in the mother's lounge at church. We both bonded when we discovered we both had super colicky little baby girls. No one else seem to understand what we were going through, but each other. Anyways, she has been such a great friend to me, and our little girls call each other best friends. Tori has been so sad knowing her little friend Keia is moving to California. On Wednesday we had Keia over the whole day til they left, and as they were leaving Tori starting to cry in the most genuine way, that it made Kendra and I start crying. She kept telling me that she's not going to see her Keia for a long time, and kept asking when she would ever come back to visit. Seriously, she has such a sweet little spirit, and I can't believe at the age of 3 she can feel such strong emotions.

I had to move alot growing up and along the way I would make friends with people that I just knew, I knew before this life on Earth because of the stong connection I felt for them. Kendra is definetly a "bossom buddie", but I'm so glad we have these blogs so we can keep in touch in such a visual way.
(By the way, could my head look any rounder?!)

Their last tea party :( .So thanks Kendra for always making me laugh, always encouraging me, and for being true friend. Tori and I love and we'll miss you both!

Most of you know my husband makes Splash Pads for a living. Their latest job that they've been working on all summer is finally complete. It's at the Phoenix Zoo and it's so awesome. You can walk into a cave that has two little water slides inside. It has a little creek that the kids love and a blow spout on top of the cave. There are water falls, misters, and shooting water throughout. If you can you should check it out. The Grand Opening is this Saturday. http://www.splashzonellc.com/
